Val was a lovely lady who was loved by everyone who knew her. We had happy days with her not only at M&S but also our social life. Plenty of dinner parties where yes, Val always made the famous pavlovas. She was always to be found washing up in the kitchen with her cheerful smile. Much Love Carole xxx

Val was the epitome of a caring , strong, happy person. Always cheerful even when life threw hardships at her and she had more than enough of these in her 81years but she never complained. Being a nurse she always had time to care for people and showed this while Auntie Cis was alive and later when Brian became ill. I think she found it hard towards the end being cared for rather than the "carer". One thing which knocked us sideways about her life was that she spent time in the Ace Cafe taking spins with the "Hells Angels" -- especially as she then married Brian who was by no means a Hells Angel! We shall miss Val very much , the chats on the phone, the trips together and mainly the laughs we always had. Love Ellen & Dave
